Each year a founding family is honored in the guise of a family reunion, this year we have the pleasure of catering to the Gagnon family. Description: The Festival Acadien de Clare is the oldest Acadian festival in the world. The festival has plenty to do, from parades to outdoor concerts, children's activities to local talent shows, suppers to nature activities.

This event is to celebrate and help maintain the culture, customs, traditions and history of the Acadians.

Event Name: Festivlas Acadiens et Creole
Location: Girard Park, Lafayette, Louisiana

Description: Festivals Acadiens et Creole is a Free festival, started in 1972 in an effort to keep Cajun culture alive. Since then, it has grown into a three-day event including the Festival de Musique, Bayou Food Festival, Louisiana Craft Fair, Louisiana Folk Roots, Culture sur la Table, La Place des Petits, and Downtown Alive. Dates for 2011: October 12-16, coinciding with Grand Réveil Acadien in Lafayette.
