CMA and Doucet Family Reunions
Every five years, there is a Doucet/Doucette reunion in conjunction with a Congrès Mondial Acadien. In 1994, the Doucet family was invited to join with the Vautour family for a reunion on August 13 and 14 in southeastern New Brunswick, in Richibucto. In 1999, during the second Congrès Mondial Acadien which was held in Louisiana, the Doucet/Doucette reunion was held on August 7 and 8 in Opelousas. The Doucet/Doucette reunion during Congrès Mondial Acadien 2004 was held in Church Point, Nova Scotia, on August 1 and 2. The last Congrès Mondial Acadien was held in 2009 in the Acadian Peninsula of New Brunswick, the northeastern part of that province.
