Gemain Doucet - Dedication Video
Castine, Maine - August 15, 2010 On August 15, 2010, at Our Lady of Holy Hope Catholic Church, in Castine, Maine, a plaque was dedicated to Germain Doucet. This plaque recognizes him as being the first ever commander of Fort Pentagoet, which was on the grounds currently occupied by the church. A video has been made of the event. It comes in two versions. The Short version contains a little tour and history about Castine and the actual dedication, and is about 26 minutes long. The long version contains the Castine history, the dedication, and the mass that was celebrated along with the dedication, it is about 58 minutes long. Both versions are on each disc and are menu selectable. The video is available in Standard DVD format and also in high definition 1080p Blu Ray format. I will need to ask a few dollars to cover the expenses of the discs, cases and shipping. The cost, including shipping, will be $10.00 for the 1080p Blu Ray format and $8.00 for the standard DVD format.
If you order Standard DVD format, you will need to determine what format
DVD disc your player uses. It is either DVD+R or DVD-R. You can determine it by
looking in your manual, where you will see a section that lists the types of
discs that are playable on your player. Here a re a couple of examples: I have also created a Internet Streaming version of the short version. It is a lower resolution copy and is not in DVD or Blu Ray quality, but you can view it if you have high speed Internet, 3Mbps or higher recommended. To view it, use the viewer below.
