Many Genealogy web sites charge for their content. Here at Les Doucet Du Monde our genealogy data is free. In return we ask your consideration for two things.
1. Make your family members of the Association. Cost is only $15.00 per year or a special price of $25.00 for two years, for the entire household. To find out about membership benefits or to print an application form click here.
2. If your family information is not found here, send it to us, so it can be shared with others and added to our database. If you have family information you would like added to our database email it to: deand@doucetfamily.org

Message to current members and current and past LDDM board members.

If you are a current member of LDDM and/or current or past LDDM board members we would like you to take the Membership Survey to let us know your thoughts, ideas and suggestions. This will help us toward improving the events and functions of Les Doucet du Monde.

To take the survey click here.

Germain Doucet Biography is Now Available

Carol Doucet, Board Member and one of the organizers of the Doucet reunion during the 1999 CMA in Louisiana, has recently completed a book on the biography of Germain Doucet. The book is available in English and French. A lot of research and study went into creating this biography, which contains information about what happened in Acadia before his arrival, and the principal events that occurred during the time that he spent in Acadia.

For more information on the book and an order form click here.

Germain Doucet Dedication

On August 15, 2010, at Our Lady of Holy Hope Catholic Church, in Castine, Maine, a plaque was Dedicated to Germain Doucet. This plaque recognizes him as being the first ever commander of Fort Pentagoet, which was on the grounds currently occupied by the church.

A DVD and Blu Ray video of the event was made and is available by going to the Dedication Video Page. From this page you can also view, on line, a copy of the short version of the video.

Would You Like To Help The Association?
We currently have several openings, on our Board Of Directors. If you are interested in working with us, to bring together individuals and families who are descendants of the Doucet families, email our President at deand@doucetfamily.org.
